I have been asked about whether Homeopathy can help with weight loss. The answer to this is yes and no.
Homeopthy is holistic, it looks at the whole picture of what is going on with you as well as your history.
As part of this we would be looking at your history, and considering points like these:
Is there a clear point when you gained weight, and what happened?
Or is there a trigger which undermines you, even without your conscious knowledge?
What is holding you back from achieving your goals?
I had a diabetes client a while back who could not maintain their blood sugars because they were constantly self sabotaging themselves with their diet. Completely unconsciously, but a pattern that went back to childhood of putting others first. After one consultation and one remedy we managed to change that unconscious habit and allow them to look after themselves. As a consequence everything improved. It wasn’t a matter of them not wanting to look after themselves, but a lifelong inability to do so.
There will need to be a look at diet and exercise, but Homeopathy can support you where previously you may have struggled with things like compulsive cravings for sweets. I am extremely interested in nutrition and looking at furthering my education in this later this year, with both the intention of supporting clients in their goals and understanding more about the complex interplay that diet has with health and well-being, as well as illness and disease.
Homeopathy is certainly able to support you with your weight loss goals, but it is not a DIY option, nor a quick fix. Be prepared to start initially with several consultations over 6 months and then reassess your goals and your progress. Initially progress may well be seen in areas that seem unrelated.
